Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a casting nozzle which effectively prevents the generation of crack in a nozzle body by forming gap layers in at least part of the contact part of the refractories in a slag line part and a nozzle body. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle shown in (a) is formed with gap layers 4 on the inner side of the highly corrosion resistant refractories in the slag line part of a nozzle body 1 wherein the generation of crack in the nozzle body 1 is prevented by absorbing the difference in thermal expansion of the body 1 and the refractories 2 of the slag line part. The nozzle (b) is formed with the gap layers 4 over the entire contact part between the refractories 2 of the slag line part and the nozzle body 1, and the mozzle (c) is formed with the gap layers in the upper part of the refractories 2 of the slag line part. The nozzle (d) is formed with the gap layers 4 on the inner side of the refractories 2 in the case of a long nozzle. The nozzles (e) (f) are provided with the gap layers 4 and further refractories 3 for cushioning on the top, bottom, etc. of the refractories 2.
