Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a container which facilitates axis alignment and is free from an axis shift, by fixing a plastic metallic jig, having an optical fiber, to the opening window of a sealed container. CONSTITUTION:In the wall 20 of a sealed container, a metallic jig 21 made of 0.5- 3phi annular oxygen-free copper is fitted and then a 0.1-1phi optical fiber 22 is inserted into this jig 21. Parts where the wall 20, jig 21 and fiber 22 come into contact are fixed by being coupled or bonded mechanically or with an adhesive, etc. For the optical axis alignment and optical coupling of the optical fiber 22 and an opltical element, external force is applied to prescribed positions of the jig by fine positioning equipment, such as a manipulator, and consequently the metal constituting the jig 21 deforms to shift in position downward by deltaX. The optical fiber 22 also shifts in position downward by deltaX corresponding to align their optical axies to each other.
