Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit a truck to turn with the same radius of rotation while moving forth in any direction, by providing the truck with four driving wheels and by enabling each wheel to swivel by at least 180 deg. through steering mechanism. CONSTITUTION:On the base plate 18 of a truck 16, steering shafts 6 are fixed upright through bearings 19, and a gear 20 fixed atop of each shaft 6 engages with a driving gear 22 fitted to the rotating shaft 21 of a steering motor 8. Through the rotation of the motor 8, the steering shaft 6 rotates by at least 180 deg.. At the lower end of the shaft 6 extending to under the base plate 18, a forked bearing part 23 is formed, and a wheel axle 24 is fixed to the part 23 penetrating through a bearing 25. A wheel 17 is fixed at one end of the axle 24, and the rotating shaft of a driving motor 9 is coupled directly with the other end. Since four wheels are equipped and each steered by a steering mechanism, respective wheels are steered automatically and properly according to curved movement, so that radii of left and right rotation in forward and backward movements are held constant all the time.
