Abstract
PURPOSE:To isolate inert gas from low temperature liquefied gas by intaking the inert gas and evaporated gas in the upper part of a low temperature storage tank for LPG, LNG, ammonia or the like by an ejector and feeding it to a separator. CONSTITUTION:When inert gas is stored in a gas separator 5, a liquid level detector 20 operates to open a liquid level control valve 15. Then, the inert gas is fed to a flare and is burnt. Since low temperature liquefied gas flows from a conduit 16 to a heat exchange conduit 23 when the inert gas and the evaporated gas of the liquefied gas pass through a gas purger 14, the evaporated gas of the liquiefied gas introduced via the conduit 13 into a gas purger body 21 is condensed in considerable amount therein and flows into a conduit 17, and is returned to the gas separator 5. Accordingly, the quantity of the evaporated gas of the liquiefied gas to be burnt at the flare together with the inert gas is small in quantity.
