Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid an evil effect of magnetism caused by a toner supply pipe and a toner concentration detecting device, by providing a magnetic shielding plate among the toner supply pipe, the toner concentration detecting device and a magnetic sleeve respectively. CONSTITUTION:The used developer is scraped off from a sleeve 16 of a magnetic brush developing device by a scraper 29. An opening part 30 is provided to the scraper, and thus a part of the developer drops through this part 30 and led into a toner supply pipe provided under the part 30. Then the developer is mixed with the supplied toner to drop to a toner sink 14. While the developer passed through the part 30 drops to the sink 14 through a toner concentration detecting device 35 and a mixing device 36 provided at an end part of the scraper. The magnetic shielding plates 32 and 33 are provided at the lower part of the scraper. As a result, the lowering of fluidity of the developer in the toner supply pipe and the inaccurateness and unstableness of toner detection can be eliminated.
