Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the highly efficient use of a checking ROM, by selecting the check bit groups in the same address of a checking ROM which receives the common designation by a part of the address in accordance with the residual addresses. CONSTITUTION:The address designation is carried out for an ROM31 of 32 words and 8 bits, etc. via an addrsss bus line 41. The check bit groups related to plural pieces of information which are set en bloc in the same address of a parity ROM32 of 4 words and 8 bits, etc. receive the common designation by the upper bits of the address designated by the line 41. Then the check parity bits corresponding to the information of the ROM31 designated by a selector 42 are selected in accordance with the residual bits of the address. In such constitution, the entire region of the ROM32 can be used to increase the using efficiency of a check ROM.
