Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture a clad pipe excellent in appearance, corrosion resistance and strength, by preparing a clad material comprising a mild steel sheet and a stainless steel sheet conjoined with an adhesive, by forming this clad material into a square pipe, by reinforcing the interior of this pipe with an H-beam, and by coating the inner surface with a resinous powder.
CONSTITUTION: A mild steel sheet 1 is united with a stainless steel sheet 2 by applying an adhesive in order to electrically insulating two sheets 1, 2 from each other; this composite sheet is formed by a forming roll into a halved segment of a semifinished product provided with a lip. Two of this halved segment are combined placing their openings to face to each other; the stainless steel sheet 2 is notched at its lip part so as to bare the mild steel; this bared mild steel zone is welded to finish a square clad pipe 16. An H-beam 17 is then pressure fitted into this clad pipe 16 which is then heated; under this condition, a fine resinous powder mixed with a low pressure air is recycled in the inside of the clad pipe 16 in order to coat the inner surface with the resinous powder; at the same time, a heat insulating material 30 such as a slag wool is packed in the space of the clad pipe 16. Hereby, a clad square pipe with a stainless steel outer shell, excellent in appearance, corrosion-resistance and strength, is manufactured.
