Abstract

PURPOSE:To block an input of unnecessary signal wave to a detector and to prevent miscount of a counter, by providing a switch for an output terminal or a matching circuit of a surface acoustic wave element of an automatic channel selector and switching this switch for VHF and UHF. CONSTITUTION:An automatic channel selector is provided with an electronic tuner having a local oscillator, and a detection circuit 3 which detects the output signal of surface acoustic wave elements 2, 3 producing an output signal to a UHF or VHF output terminal and inputs the oscillating frequency from the oscillator. Further, a counter which counts the number of output signals of a sweep circuit sweeping out the local oscillation frequency and the circuit 3 and discriminates the selection or channel number, is provided. The UHF output stage U of the element 2 is provided with the 1st diode 17 blocking high frequencies of the VHF band, and the output stage V of the VHF band is provided with the 2nd diode 40 blocking unnecessary components of the UHF band different from the phase and level, allowing to prevent miscount of the counter.
