Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent miscounting, by removing an input of harmonics of a VHF low band and unnecessary wave components of UHF to a detector through the provision of a filter including a switch element between the detector and the VHF output terminal of a surface acoustic wave element and the switching of the switch element. CONSTITUTION:An electronic tuner having a local oscillator of a voltage controlled type, and a detection circuit 3 detecting the output signal of a surface acoustic wave element 2 having VHF input/output terminals and UHF input/output terminals inputting the oscillating frequency of the oscillator, are provided. Further, a channel counter counting the number of times of the output signals obtained at the circuit 3 is provided to constitute a channel selector. A filter 50 having high frequency switching diode 41 is provided between the VHF output terminal of the element 2 of the channel selector and the circuit 3, and a DC switching diode 42 is provided between a VHF low band voltage terminal 43 and a UHF band voltage terminal 44, allowing to eliminate the harmonics at the VHF low band and the unnecessary components of the UHF to the circuit 3.
