Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve engine performance at its high-speed operational range, by enabling to delay the ignition timing at the high-speed operational range of the engine correspondingly in an ignition system in which the point of intersection between an ignition system in which the point of intersection between an ignition timing setting triangular-wave voltage and another triangular-wave voltage related to the engine speed is detected and determined as the point of ignition. CONSTITUTION:Output of a pulser 12 associated with a rotor 10, which is driven by an engine, is afforded via an FF13 to a first and a second triangular-wave voltage producing circuits 14, 19. The circuit 14 produces a triangular-wave voltage rising at a predetermined angle from the rising time to the falling time of the output of the FF13, while the circuit 19 produces a triangular-wave voltage rising at a predetermined angle from the falling time to the rising time but extending laterally from the time to the falling time of the output of FF13. At a downstream portion of the circuit 19, an inverting amplifier 20 is provided which constitutes a means for producing an ignition timing delaying voltage at the high-speed operation range of engine. Further, on the downstream side of the inverting amplifer 20, a comparison circuit 25 is provided which determines the ignition point by comparing the above two triangular-wave voltages and detecting the point of intersection.
