PURPOSE:To realize an arithmetic circuit providing easy arithmetic by decreasing detection parts for input data, by calculating and controlling the quantity of the light emission of a flash emitting device corresponding to subject's brightness, subject's distance, etc., in a stationary light state. CONSTITUTION:Signals from a photometric circuit 2 measuring stationary light, an exposure time signal output device 1, a film sensitivity setter 4, an aperture value signal output device 6, and a subject's-distance signal generator 5 are all inputted to a processor 10, such as a microcomputer, which calculates a value corresponding to the quantity of only the stationary light for photography and values corresponding to the quantity of light incident to a subject generated by a flash emitting device for the photography and the quantity of light emitted by the flash emitting device. Then, a signal from the processor 10 is converted by a D-A converter 11 into an analog signal for controlling the quantity of flash emission of the flash emitting device, and it is inputted to the flash emitting device through a terminal J2.
