NEW MATERIAL:A tetrakis azo compond shown by the formula I (R is H or methyl) in the form of a free acid.
USE: For dyeing or printing cellulose, polyester, and acrylic fiber into navy color. Capable of dyeing especailly a blended yarn fabric of polyester/cellulse together with a disperse dye by one step by one bath into the cellulose side uniformly under dyeing conditions for the disperse dye.
PROCESS: For example, 1mol tetrazotized 4, 4'-diamino-3,3'-dimethoxydiphenyl is subjected to the first coupling with a coupling component shown by the formula II in the form of a free acid under conditions from neutrality to alkalinity preferably at 0W5°C., and subjected to the second coupling with a compound shown by the formula III in the form of a free acid.
