Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition that is made by adding calcium carbonate of specific particle sizes, a plasticizer and a flame retarder, thus evolving less hydrogen chloride on burning and showing less reduction in physical properties such as mechanical properties, cold resistance or oil resistance.
CONSTITUTION: To 100pts.wt. of polyvinyl chloride, are added 40W70pts. of a plasticizer, 50W100pts., preferably 60W80pts. of calcium carbonate of 0.06W0.2μm average particle sizes and 5W40pts. of a flame retarder. When the calcium carbonate is treated with a titanate coupling agent at a ratio of 0.2W5pts. the coupling agent to 100pts. the calcium, its dipersibility and compatibility are increased to improve mechanical properties of the composition.
