Abstract

PURPOSE:To securely seal corners when a bottom member, a lid member, or the like is heat-sealed to a cylindrical polyhedron using ultrasonic waves, by employing a bottom member, a lid member, or the like having a layer with specified properties. CONSTITUTION:To the paper cylindrical polyhedron 1 having a layer of a heat- sealable plastic material on the inside thereof is heat-sealed the bottom member and/ or the lid member 4 having a layer of a heat-sealable material on the surface corresponding to the inside of the cylindrical polyhedron 1 using ultrasonic waves. As the heat-sealable material for the bottom member or the lid 4, use is made of a polyethylene having a density of 0.945g/cm<3> or less and a melt index in the range of 5-20. As a result, the melted polyethylene can flow throughout the corners, the corners can be sealed thoroughly, and therefore a container without any defects can be obtained.
