Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve corrosion-resisting property and infrared-ray emitting performance of an infrared-ray emitting apparatus, by forming an enamel layer on the surface of a base metal material, and applying an infrared-ray emitting material over the surface of said enamel layer in the manner that the enamel layer is exposed partly from the infrared-ray emitting material.
CONSTITUTION: An enamel layer 7 is formed on the surface of a base metal material 6, and an infrared-ray emitting material 8 is applied over the surface of the enamel layer 7 in the manner that the enamel layer 7 is exposed partly from the infrared-ray emitting material 8. Since the base metal material 6 is protected completely by the enamel layer 7, corrosion-resisting property of the apparatus can be improved. At the same time, since effective infrared rays are not absorbed by the enamel coating, infrared-ray emitting performance of the apparatus can be also improved. Here, as the base metal material can be used, for example, aluminum, diecast aluminum, castings, aluminized steel, low-carbon steel, enameled steel plate, nickel-chromium steel, iron-chromium or nickel-chrominum-aluminum steel, stainless or the like. Further, it is effective to use a carbonic substance such as graphite as the infrared-ray emitting material.
