Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve a heat stabilizing property and an infrared-ray transmitting property, by using a core material made of optical fibers of a composite macromolecular polymer, which consists of polycarbonate resin. CONSTITUTION:Polycarbonate resin is made a core mterial, a copolymer of vinylidene flouride and tetrafluoroethylene, a polymer whose main component is methacrylic acid ester of fluorine containing alcohol, or a polymer whose main component is methyl methacrylate is made a sleeve material, and they are compositely spun and are made optical fibers. The figures shows a nozzle and a distribution mouth piece for spinning, and the core material is melted by an extruding machine, passes through a path 1' and goes into the distribution mouth piece. On the other hand, the sleeve material which has been melted separately passes through a path 2', goes into the distribution mouth piece, passes through a fluid course 3, and covers the surface of the core material. As for polycarbonate resin, bisphenol A and polyester of carbonic acid, and a copolymer whose main component is said element are cited.
