Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the captioned unit small in size and more reliable in capacity by bearing an initial stage speed reduction gear with a final stage gear itself and by laying out them on the same line in an opening and closing drive unit of a throttle valve for an air supply unit. CONSTITUTION:A throttle valve drive unit 8 integrally consists of a DC motor 9, a speed reduction member 10 and a screw member 11 of an output shaft 24 connected to a connection piece 7. The initial stage speed reduction gear 14 transmits revolution to a circular tooth 17A for the second gear 17 of a shaft 16 eccentrically standing from the reduction gear 14. The circular tooth 17B transmits revolution to the final stage gear 18. At the center of revolution of the final stage gear 18 is formed a bearing boss so that it may support a bearing member 14 of the initial stage gear. This construction makes the unit smaller in size and prevents mutual poor engagement due to engine vibration by bearing the initial stage gear with the final stage gear.
