Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the number of terminals and facilitate application of IC by installing a proper carrier chrominance signal switchover circuit in a TV receiver that receives different color TV signals and thereby using one horizontal scanning delay line for carrier chrominance signal processing of both systems in common. CONSTITUTION:Carrier chrominance signals of PAL of SECAM system applied to a carrier chrominance signal terminal 1 are processed by the first and second carrier chrominance signal processing circuits 25, 26 and added to a carrier chrominance signal switchover circuit 27, according to a switchover signal 33 discriminated by a system discriminating circuit 7. Respective carrier chrominance signal from the circuit 27 is directly inputted to an addition-subtraction circuit 29 or a line sequential switchover circuit 30. At the same time, it is added to the circuit 29 or 30 after delaying one horizontal scanning period by a one horizontal scanning period delay line 28, and processed by respective first and second carrier chrominance demodulation circuits 31, 32, and inputted to a matrix circuit 6. A system switchover signal from the circuit 7 is added to the circuit 6, and PAL or SECAM reproducing signal is outputted from the circuit 6.
