Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacturing cost of response device, by providing a storage means of character data which can assemble a call sign of a braodcast station, selective means reading out characters repetitively, response and preset means of read out characters. CONSTITUTION:In a response device 16, character data which can assemble call signs (CSs) of all the broadcast stations are stored in an ROMh of a controller 4, and a key group (a) which splits the CS into one character unit to which one advance key (1a-8a) is provided on a keyboard 161. The character data is sequentially read out from the ROMh by operating the keys 1a-8a and they are displayed on unit display devices 1c-8c corresponding to the key group (a) of a character response section 162. When desired characters are displayed, the key operation is stopped and the character display is locked, and after this operation is made for all the character for a CS, a preset key (b) is operated to write in the CS data in a RAMi. At the same time, the CS is outputted from a voice response section 163 in voice. Since the number of key group (a) can be less, the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
