Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a film with excellent shock resistance, by a method wherein an extruded molten resin tube is cooled by means of an inside cooling-mandrel and an outside cooling-mandrel and then moved along a stabilizer attached to the tip of a die before being inflated. CONSTITUTION:A multi-layer inflation film 6, at least whose innermost layer is of low-density polyethylene and whose layer next to the innermost layer is of high- density polyethylene, is extruded from a die 7 while being cooled by means of a cooling mandrel 12 provided inside annular slits 7a of an extruder 14. While its outer periphery is being cooled by means of the cold air from an air ring 9, the extruded multi-layer molten resin tube 15 is vertically moved along the surface of a columnar stabilizer 8 attached to the tip of the die 7, and horizontally inflated large by means of the pressurized air from an air outlet 10.
