Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure easily and highly accurately an electric leakage point with a simple constitution, by obtaining maximum voltage through an earth resistance tester having one end connected with a line conductor and the other end connected with both a fixed earth electrode and a mobile earth electrode. CONSTITUTION:One end of an earth resistance tester equipped with a power source 21 is connected with an insulated line conductor 23 having a leakage point 22, while the other end is connected with both a fixed earth electrode 24 and a mobile earth electrode 26 via a voltmeter 25. With the movement of the electrode 26, the indicated value of the voltmeter 25 changes in responce to an equivalent variable resistor 32. Accordingly, by the moving position of the electrode 26 where indicated voltage of the voltmeter 25 is maximum, a leaking point can be measured easily and highly accurately with a simple structure.
