Abstract

PURPOSE: To heighen the commercial value of a molding by removing flow mark completely with uniform reflection factor of light from the surface of a resin molding roughened through blasting of fine shots.
CONSTITUTION: A resin molding (e.g. a car bumper) 2 is set in a chamber 1. Then, a pressurized air about 5kg/cm2 is fed to a shot nozzle 3 from a hose 4 to deliver shots in a shot storage 6 to the nozzle 3 through a hose 7 utilizing a negative pressure generated in the nozzle 3. The shots are blasted on the molding 2 to roughen the surface thereof evenly (the exhaust is introduced to a dust collector 8 such as cyclone to recover the shots to a container 10 and discharged at an exhaust port 9). Glass spherical beads with a grain size of 0.2W0.8mm are used for the shots. It is preferable that the shots are injected at a distance of about 10cm with a pressure of about 5W6kg/cm2 for about 2min.
