Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently remove the chloride in dusts by providing an oxidation catalyst packed chamber communicating with a fluidized bed furnace on the outside wall of the fluidized bed furnace, and connecting the bypass duct branched from a main combustion gas lead-in duct to the catalyst packed chamber.
CONSTITUTION: The fuel supplied from a fuel supply line 10 is burned by the primary air supplied through a primary air supply line 11, and part thereof passes through a bypass duct 8 and is introduced into an oxidation catalyst packed chamber 4. The remaining combustion gas is supplied through a main duct 6 into a wind box 5, from which it enters the inside of a fluidized bed 1 through a gas diffusion plate 2. Thereby, the fluid media in the bed 1 are fluidized and the dusts contg. chloride are supplied into the fluidized bed through a dust supply line 12. The chloride in the dusts decomposes to gaseous hydrogen chloride 13 which is exhausted to the outside of the furnace.
