PURPOSE:To avoid the positional shift of color channel at all times even with iris and zoom of pickup lens changed, and to achieve color picture with high quality, by executing compensation in matching with actual pickup automatically with a alignning adjustment value at stored various pickup conditions. CONSTITUTION:An aligning chart 17 is picked up at a pickup lens 1 and the pickup tube for R, G, B is aligned by adjusting the alignment adjuster 11 connected to a deflection circuit 5, by taking the illumination and distance as a referenced constant value. The adjustment value of adjusters 9, 10 of the iris and zoom ratio of the lens 1 is inputted to a small sized electronic computer 14 via an A/D converter 13, the alignment value adjusted at the adjuster 11 is inputted to the computer 14 via an A/D converter 16 and stored in a storage circuit 15. When pickup is made at a pickup camera actually, video processing circuits 6, 7, 8 of R, G, B three channels are automatically adjusted with the stored alignment value to cope with the change in the iris and zoom of the lens 1.
