Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A transparent or colored adhesive agent 5 is coated in the V-groove 2b of a transparent reinforcing member 2, and after the optical fiber connection part 4 to be reinforced is inserted, a cap 2a is put on and the part 4 and the member 2 are fixed into one body. Whether large air bubbles and the like which can be a cause for exertion of nonuniform force upon the optical fibers are included in the adhesive agent or not can be checked by irradiating light from the direction of an arrow shown in figure 2 or by observing whether such adhesive agent 5 as shown in figure 3 (a) remains between the cap 2a and the substrate of the member 2 or not.
