Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a beam spot kept free of distortion all over the screen of a color cathod ray tube, in such a way that the first and the second magnetic bodies provided with the first - the fourth pole pieces as their teeth of combs are arranged on the tip of an electron gun being affected by an additional magnetic field and, further, three pairs of reverse four poles magnetic field generator are disposed on three electron beam passage respectively. CONSTITUTION:The first and the second magnetic bodies 8, 9 are arranged in a cuplike object 3, and those first and second magnetic bodies 8, 9 are formed into comblike objects provided with the first - the fourth magnetic poles 10-13 and magnetic poles 14-17 respectively as their teeth of combs. The first pole pieces 10, 14 of the first and the second magnetic bodies 8, 9 are facing each other, being located in the upper left position and the lower left position of the first side beam passage of the first beam hole 5 respectively, and the second pole pieces 11, 15 are crossing solidly between the first side beam passage and a central beam passage, not touching each other. Furthermore, the third pole pieces 12, 16 are crossing solidly between the central beam passage and the second beam passage, not touching each other. Thereby, a beam spot can be obtained free from any distortion and resolution can be improved.
