Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium having excellent dispersibility by using a compound, having at a terminal a lipophilic group with an acrylic double bond sensitive to radiation, as a dispersant for magnetic paint. CONSTITUTION:A base is coated with magnetic paint which uses a 0.1-5% compound of preferably <=500 molecular weight having an acrylic double bond at one terminal and a lipophilic group of a carboxylic acid, sulfonic acid, sulfate, quaternary ammonium salt, amine, phosphate, ethylene oxide, and hydroxyl group type, etc., at the other terminal and then irradiated with radiation, such as electron beams, neutron beams and gamma rays to obtain a magnetic recording medium.
