CONSTITUTION:A control signal a from a control part 3 whereto a divided pulse from a frequency divider 2 is applied is inverted into a high level during the operation of an alarm device 8 and one second before a step motor 9 starts to drive. Thus, a cell voltage is detected by a voltage detector in a cell voltage detector 4, and the device is prohibitted through an inversion detecting output in case the cell voltage is below a given voltage, and a priority is given to a driving of the motor 9. This constitution prohibits the generation of an alarm sound only where necessary, and produces an electronic watch which has a better sound and no trouble in keeping good time.
