Abstract

PURPOSE:To quicken the detection speed of increase/decrease in a matching signal for adaptability of focussing, by integrating and resetting the high frequency part of a video signal every vertical period in a video camera and holding the result of integration temporarily. CONSTITUTION:A signal of high frequency part is obtained from video signals within a specific range on a screen with a gate circuit 2 among the video signals applied to a high pass filter 1 and applied to an amplifier 3. A signal output via the amplifier 3 and full-wave rectifier 4 is inputted to an integrator 5' and the result of integration is reset with a signal from a time regulation signal generating circuit 11 at a reset circuit 8. The output of the reset circuit 8 is temporarily stored at sample hold circuits 9, 10 and the output of both the circuits 9, 10 is compared at a comparator 7. The compared output is inputted to a latch circuit 12 and stored at the time regulation signal generating circuit 11.
