Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion of metal and peeling of a paint in a contact surface of the metal and the paint, in coating the paint on the surface of the metal, by a method wherein a striking layer is preliminarily formed on the surface of said metal in a strongly adhered manner and, after the paint is coated threreon, polishing and finish plating are carried out.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of a metal 1 such as brass or the like is subjected to Emery blowing to form a roughened surface 2 and, on said roughened surface 2, a striking layer 3 such as Ni, Cu or the like if formed by strong adhesion force. Subsequently, a synthetic resin paint 4 is coated to a recessed part of the metal 1 and, thereafter, the total surface thereof is polished to form a smooth surface. In this time, the striking layer 3 of the metal surface is also peeled off along with the paint surface and the total surface is made flat in a straignt manner. Finally, a metal surface is plated with Au, Ag or the like to form a finish plating layer 6. Because said finish plating layer 6 and the striking layer 3 are connected to enclose the surface of the metal 1, said surface of the metal 1 is free from corrosion as well as, because the striking layer contacted with the paint 4 has a roughned surface, adhesion force is strong and the paint 4 is not peeled off.
