Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion of the surface of iron or iron alloy so as to prevent the peeling of the sprayed material due to the corrosion, by forming a layer of the sprayed material on the iron or iron alloy surface which has been plated with any one of zinc, copper, or aluminum. CONSTITUTION:Iron or iron alloy 1 is plated with any one of zinc, copper, or aluminum on the surface thereof to form a plated layer 5, which is roughened by sandblasting, then a layer 2 of sprayed metal such as alumina, or tungsten carbide is formed on the plated layer. Even if a corrosive material such as water permeates into the pores 3 formed in the sprayed metal layer 2, the permeation is interrupted by the plated layer 5, thereby preventing the corrosion of iron or iron alloy. Hence the conventional resin-impregnation that shields the pores 3 in the sprayed metal 2 becomes useless, and no fault due to the peeling of the sprayed layer 2 or effluence of resin is caused, so that the reliability of apparatus is improved.
