Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a gaseous mold by placing a moding flask on the upper surface of a pattern plate that has a pressure reducing chamber and a vent hole connected to the chamber, filling the space with molding sand, covering the upper surface of the molding flask with a film having fine holes, placing a cover that generates hardening gas on the fine holes, and hardening the molding sand with the hardening gas making the inside of the molding flask negative pressure. CONSTITUTION:A molding flask 8 is placed on the upper surface of a pattern plate 1 that has a pressure reducing chamber 2 and plural vent holes 4 connected to it, and a space made by the molding flask 8 and the pattern plate 1 is filled with molding sand 10. Next, the upper surface of the molding flask 8 is covered with a film sheet 12 having plural fine holes 11 and the holes are covered with a cover 13 that generates hardening gas. Then, a suction device is actuated to make the inside pressure of the molding flask 8 negative through a duct 16 and vent holes 4 and hardening gas is introduced within the flask 8 through the cover 13 and small holes 11. The gas is passed through the molding sand 10 to harden the sand 10.
