Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform scale removal and sludge removal continuously in the same process from industrial water used in steel material forming and working processes.
CONSTITUTION: Waste water is supplied through a flow dividing pipe 1 to a separating tank 2, where the scale in the waste water settles by gravity, and is discharged by a screw conveyor 11 to a scale storage tank 13. On the other hand, the waste water contg. sludge flows over a weir 16 into the 1st flocculant dissolving tank 3, where it is quickly agitated and mixed with the flocculant supplied through a supply pipe 15 by a quick mixer 4. Thence, it flows through a partition wall 17 into the 2nd flocculant dissolving tank 5, where it is agitated at low speeds by a low speed mixer 6 so that the sludge forms flocs. The foreign 11 matter settled in the bottom part here is discharged by the conveyor 11 into the tank 13, and the flocs floating on the surface of the waste water is adsorbed on the surface of the magnetic disk of a magnetic rotary separating device 7. These flocs are discharged via a chute 9 into a sludge storage tank 10. The cleaned waste water is released through a discharged tank or recycled.
