Abstract
PURPOSE: Titled resin excellent in weather resistance and adhesion to urethane resins and useful in the production of elastic pavements, prepared by bonding an isocyanato-containing urethane prepolymer to a specified modified silicone resin through an aminosilane coupling agent.
CONSTITUTION: A urethane linkage-containing modified silicone resin is prepared by mixing a mixture of an aminosilane coupling agent and a solvent, e.g., ketone type, with an usocyanato-containing urethane prepolymer, and adding the resulting mixture little by little to a modified silicone resin having a structure in which atoms other than also intervene between the silicone atoms, e.g., resin of the formula, wherein R is an optionally substituted alkylene or a polyoxymethylene or a group derived by introducing (substituted) benzene rings into a polymethylene chain. Next, a weather-resistance pavement such as a tennis court, is made by forming a layer 1 of said silicone resin over the surface of mortar 3 covered with a polyurethane type primer 4 and a polyurethane resin layer 5.
