Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a small sized, light weight and low cost printed linear antenna device, by providing a reflecting plate at the side surface of a linear antenna such as unipole antenna and using the mirror image. CONSTITUTION:A printed unipole antenna 7 and a feeder 8 are provided on a printed board 1, and a metallic plate 9 in common use for reflection plate 9a of the unipole antenna 7 and a ground conductor 9b of the feeder 8. Electromagnetic waves transmitted from a transmission circuit are applied to the unipole antenna 7 via the feeder 8. By using a mirror image produced by the reflection plate 9a, the operation is made as if the unipole antenna 7 were a dipole antenna for the radiation into space.
