Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of oxide of nitrogen while controlling the drop of thermal efficiency by a method wherein a steam injection nozzle is provided coaxially and internally with and in a fuel gas injection nozzle and the steam is spouted within the combustion zone of the fuel gas. CONSTITUTION:Over the conical surface forming the tip of the tubular fuel gas injection nozzle 2, a plurality of gas injection holes 3a-3h are bored at annularly distributed positions so as to form an injection angle thetaa divergent toward the direction of injection to spout the gas into a combustion chamber. Furthermore, the steam injection nozzle 4 is provided internally and coaxially in and with said injection nozzle 2. The tip of the nozzle 4 is located within the combustion zone of said fuel gas by being protruded in front of the injection nozzle 2 or toward the inside of the combustion chamber. And, over the conical surface of the tip of the steam injection nozzle 4, a steam injection hole 6 is bored at the apex of the cone and a plurality of steam injection holes 7a-7h are bored at annularly distributed positions with the hole 6 as its annular center. The injection angle theta defined by the holes 7a-7f is set within the range of from 60 deg. to the fuel gas injection angle thetaa.
