Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:4,1-Benzoxazepin-3-acetic derivatives of formula I [R, R1 are H, lower alkyl, phenyl; R2 is H, halogen, lower alkyl which may be substituted with nitro or hydroxyl groups, aralkyl, formula II (n is 1W3; R5, R6 are lower alkyl, heteroring forming along with adjacent nitrogen atom); ring A may be substituted with halogen, nitro, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy] or their salts or esters.
EXAMPLE: 1-Benzyl-7-chloro-3,5-didhydro-5-β-phenyl-4,1-benzoxazepin-2(1H)- one-3- acetic ethyl ester.
USE: They are used as a tranquilizer or synthetic intermediate of medicines.
PREPARATION: A compound of formula III (R3 is H, lower alkyl; R4 is H, lower acyl) is subjected to ring-closing reaction and, when necessary, the product is hydrolyzed to give the compound of formula IV among compound of formula I.
