Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve conservation of energy, by covering at least the upper portion of an outdoor hot-water pipe with a transparent material in keeping heat of hot water in the pipe by use of an heat insulating material.
CONSTITUTION: A hot-water pipe 1 is placed in a tubular body 10 and its surface is covered with a transparent glass plate 4 or the like. Holes for draining rain water are formed at the bottom of the tubular body 10, and heat insulating material 7 is filled around the pipe 1 excluding the portion of transparent plate 4. Since, with such an arrangement, solar heat is given to hot water 2 in the pipe 1 through the transparent plate 4, heat of the hot water 2 is conserved and heat is absorbed positively, so that the temperature of the hot water 2 is rather raised. Thus, conservation of heat can be accomplished.
