Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of component parts and amount of heat insulating material used in a water heating apparatus, by disposing a heat collecting panel at one side of the case incroporating therein a hot-water reservoir tank, and stuffing heat insulating material covering the reservoir tank of the heat collecting panel and the tank.
CONSTITUTION: Transparent plate 7 is fixed, with some inclination, to one side of case 2 in which hot-water reserving tank 1 is placed, and panel 3 for collecting solar heat is disposed at the back of said transparent plate 7. Upper portion of the panel 3 at one side thereof is connected via hot-water supply pipe 5 to an upper portion of tank 1, and lower portion of panel 3 at the other side is connected via water supply pipe 6 to a lower portion of tank 1. The hot-water reservoir tank 1 is covered with heat insulating material 4, which is also stuffed between the back of panel 3 and tank 1. With such an arrangement, it is possible to omit a case used specially for panel 3 since panel 3 is placed in case 2 for tank 1. Further, amount of heat insulating material 4 used in the apparatus can be reduced since heat insulating material 4 is used commonly for insulating panel 3 and tank 1.
