Abstract

PURPOSE:To work even a large workpiece by moving a working apparatus on the workpiece. CONSTITUTION:A small working apparatus 2 movably mounted on a workpiece 1 is provided with a mobile arm 4 on its base 3, said arm 4 having a working tool 5. Both base 3 and mobile arm 4 are movable along rectangular coordinate or polar coordinate axes. The position of an original point P on the base 3 is measured by the laser beam tracing method corresponding to the position of base point O. A laser beam detector 7 is provided on the central part of the upper surface of the base 3, while the tool 5 is attached on the edge portion of the arm 4 whose position can be adjusted back and forth and left and right in relation to the base 3. When the workpiece 1 is worked a wheel 17 moving up and down for moving the apparatus is elevated to leave the workpiece 1, while the working apparatus is fixed on the workpiece 1 by means of a fixing means 18.
