Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the blockade of piping and the like due to the separating of salt dissolved from clinker by a method wherein the electric conductivity of the bottom water extracted from the bottom of a coal firing boiler furnace is detected and the discharge of the bottom water and the supply of the fresh water from and to the circulating passage are performed in accordance with the detected value.
CONSTITUTION: The coal ash adhered to the heating surface of the coal firing boiler furnace 1 is removed and fallen down into a boiler bottom 11 filled with the water. Said bottom water, after the solid matter therein being crushed by a crusher 12, is sent by means of a jet pump 13 to a dehydration bin 14 for solid-liquid separation. The resultant liquid is also sent to a precipitation tank 17 for solid-liquid separation and the supernatant liquid is circulated via a water storage tank 18 through a circulating passage 20 to the bottom 11. The electric conductivity of the bottom water in the water storage tank 18 is detected by a detector 22. When the detected value gets to the predetermined value, the bottom water is drained from the water storage tank 18 by means of a drain pump 23 and simultaneously a valve 24 is opened to supply the fresh industrial water 25 through the circulating passage 20 to the bottom 11.
