Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable an easy and reliable switching from and to an excavation work and a pile-driving work, by a method wherein a hydraulic cylinder automates operations to open and close front jacks is located at the front of a pile-driving device body performing an outrigger function.
CONSTITUTION: An opening and closing device for front jacks is constituted such that a hydraulic cylinder 10 is coupled between a front bracket 2 of a pile-driving device body 1 and an arm 3 equipped with a front jack 4 at its forward end, and the arms 3 and the front jack 4 open and close in a manner to part from and contact the front bracket 2. In order to shift the operation of the pile-driving device from an excavation work to a pile-driving work, the front jack 4 is opened with the hydraulic cylinder 10 driven, and auger screw 7 is then evacuated to a nonworking position and a hammer 8, simultaneously, is disposed in a working position.
