Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically open and close a gate without powered-operation when reaching a prescribed limit water level, by a method wherein the gate and a weight, being different in weight, are hung at sluice column by means of a rope so that they can alternately and freely move vertically, and a braking device, which works corresponding to the vertical change in a water level, is located on said rope.
