Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the setting of a sufficient tilting angle for a long semitrailer, by protruding kingpins in a first and a second positions on the bottom of the front part of the semitrailer or protruding a kingpin on the bottom of the front part so that the king pin can be slid from the first position to the second one.
CONSTITUTION: A first kingpin 7 protruded in a first position on the bottom of the front part of a semitrailer B or a second kingpin 8 protruded in a second position behind the first position is connected to the coupler 5 of a tractor A so that the kingpin can be engaged and disengaged. To tilt the ordinary semitrailer B, a hydraulic cylinder 6 is expanded to set up a lift arm 3 about a pivotal fulcrum. To tilt the long semitrailer B, a support leg 10 is elongated to the ground, the coupler 5 is disengaged from the first kingpin 7 and engaged with the second kingpin 8 and the hydraulic cylinder 6 and the lift arm 3 are operated in the same manner as mentioned above. In that case, the long trailer B can be tilted to a sufficient inclination angle. A kingpin may be provided instead so that it can be slid from the first position to the second one.
