Abstract

PURPOSE: To cause gas-liquid contact of waste gas contg. malodors and washing liquid and to simplify the titled device by adequately rotating an air permeable rotary drum on a single rotating shaft partly immersed in the washing liquid.
CONSTITUTION: A gas contg. malodors is flowed by a blower 7 into an alkali washing tank 1a through an inlet duct 9. Since multiple vent holes are provided to rotary discs 2, the introduced gas is being stirred and mixed by these, and during this time it contacts with the liquid films of washing chemical liquid 5a which is being incessantly lifted up, whereby the malodorous components such as hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan in the waste gas are removed. Then, the malodorous gas past the vent holes 12 opened in the gas phase parts of the 1st partition wall 3 enters a pickling tank 1b, and is pickled in an alkali washing tank 1a, so that the malodorus components such as ammonia in the gas are removed. The malodorous gas past the 2nd partition wall in a similar manner is removed mainly of methyl sulfide type odorous components, and is released into the atmosphere through a ventilation duct 11.
