Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent fine grains of exhaust gas from accumulating in a path interconnecting a constant pressure chamber and a pressure working chamber of a pressure regulator valve in an exhaust reflux device by injecting pressurized air from an air pump into said path.
CONSTITUTION: An intake pipe 3 is communicated to an exhaust pipe 4 through exhaust reflux paths 601, 602 having an exhaust reflux control valve 100 to send a portion of exhaust gas reflux to an intake system. Intake negative pressure adjusted in response to the running condition of an engine through a pressure regulator valve 200 is introduced into a negative pressure chamber 106 of the control valve 100. A constant pressure chamber 108 formed in a reflux path 601 is communicated to a pressure working chamber 206 of the regulator valve 200 through a pth 604 to adjust the regulator valve 200 in response to exhaust pressure. Also, a conduit 607 having an air pump 300 is communicated to a path 604 through an air injection port 400 to inject pressurized air from the pump 300 into the path 604.
