Abstract
PURPOSE:To form efficiently an emulsified fuel for automobiles containing no surfactant, by mechanically emulsifying and mixing gasoline or the like with water by means of ultrasonic vibration. CONSTITUTION:An exponential horn 4 is bonded to the radiant axis side of a vibrator 5' (semi-) fixed to the inside of an outer tank 11, and a bending vibrating plate 3 fixed to the tip of the horn 4 is positioned near the boundary surface between gasoline and water in a mixing tank 12. On the other hand, another vibrator 5 is installed inside the outer tank 11 to effect ultrasonic vibration via water in the outer tank 11 onto the bottom of the mixing tank 12. The vibrators 5, 5' are vibrated while water is introduced from a pipe 9 fitted to the lid 13 and gasoline from a pipe 8 fitted to the lid 13 into the mixing tank 12, so that gasoline and water near the bending vibrating plate 3 are violently mixed and emulsified. Thereafter, the resulting emulsified fuel is taken out though a fuel pipe 6 having an opening provided near the bending vibrating plate 3.
