Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve lubricating characteristic and abrasion resistance by applying alloy plating of nickel tungsten and iron cobalt codeposited with an antifriction material or an abrasion resistant material in addition to this on the inside wall surface of a mold made of nickel plated copper or copper alloy. CONSTITUTION:A nickel film layer is provided on the inside wall surface of a mold used for continuous casting of steel or other metals and made of copper or cooper alloy, and further alloy plating of nickel tungsten, iron cobalt is applied thereon. An antifriction material such as molybdenum disulfide or an abrasion resistant material in addition to this antifriction material are codeposited in this alloy plating layer.
