Abstract

PURPOSE: To mitigate shock at the time of gear shifting by selecting the time of semiclutch according to the result of detected accelerating condition of the power transmitting automobile electromagnetic clutch.
CONSTITUTION: When a gear-shift is made at a speed exceeding a set speed, and the acceleration pedal is stepped in, the gear-shift signal (a) changes from L to H due to the completion of the gear-shift. Accordingly, a transistor 41 is made OFF, short-circuiting of a condenser 43 released, and the charging voltage is raised through a resistance 42. As this voltage reaches the voltage b' of a reference voltage generating circuit 49, the output of a comparator 50 becomes L, and the semiclutch is removed through a logical circuit. When the accelerator pedal is stepped strongly, demanding a rapid acceleration, the reference voltage signal (b) becomes H and a low level signal b' is issued to make the time of semiclutch a short one. During a shift-down, the reference voltage signal becomes a high level signal b" making the semiclutch time lasting longer.
