Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of engine stop by hindering the lockup signal from being placed out if the time to change the stamping on accelerator pedal over to the brake pedal is shorter than the time for normal application of brakes. CONSTITUTION:The idle signal S1 changed over to the L level because of closing of the idle switch 10 at the time of accelerator releasing, t1, is fed into the set terminal S of flip-flop circuit 14 and a delay circuit 15. This delay circuit 15 supplies an H level idle hold signal SH to an AND gate 20 according to the time constant DELTATH determined by resistance 17 and capacitor 18. When brakes are applied in such rapidness that stamping of the brake pedal is made within this set time DELTATH, the brake switch 11 is thereby shut to change over the brake signal SB to the L level at the time of t2 and the output for AND gate 22 over to the L level, and the lockup signal SL will disappear regardless of other input signals to the AND gate 22.
